Another big day in the Premier League as the ‘race’ (or slow, stuttering stumble towards the finishing line) will become clearer as Arsenal and Manchester United are both in action. We’ve also got a nap for the big flat racing meeting at Newmarket, where the 1,000 Guineas takes centre stage…
Manchester United’s recent form has been embarrassing for a club of their supposed stature as they have won two of their last seven Premier League games. The Red Devils’ hopes of a top-four finish have diminished, although they couldn’t have asked for a much kinder fixture on Sunday as they host already-relegated Huddersfield, who have taken four points from the last 69 on offer.
The Terriers have seen the opposition score in both halves in six of their last seven league outings and it is a bet that can land again at Old Trafford.

Man Utd to score in both halves Best Bet | 11/10 |
Arsenal’s own top-four ambitions have been dealt a blow by a three-match losing run in the top-flight and they welcome Brighton to The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Brighton haven’t won any of their last seven league outings, scoring one goal in the process, and it must be a concern that they haven’t scored an away league goal in 286 minutes of action.
The Arsenal win to nil is a good bet at 29/20, while it is worth noting that 33% of Arsenal’s league wins on home soil have involved a 2-0 scoreline.

Sunday’s Football Treble
Sunday marks the final day of the regular Championship season, although the play-offs are still to come of course. Sheffield Wednesday’s tilt at the play-offs came up short despite an inspired run of form after Steve Bruce was appointed manager and the Owls have only lost one of their last 13 matches at Hillsborough as they prepare to face QPR, who haven’t won an away game since 22nd December.
Millwall have stuttered towards the end of the season to ensure survival but they won’t really fancy the long trip up north to Wigan, where the Latics are unbeaten since New Year’s Day.
Finally, Derby County need a win to be sure of securing a place in the play-offs and we’ll back them to overcome West Brom, who are winless in three on the road.

The big race at Newmarket is the 1,000 Guineas, although our best bet comes from the Dahlia Stakes. Sir Michael Stoute has trained six of the last 12 winners of this race and his entry, Veracious – who was sired by Frankel – is a worthy favourite at headquarters.
