Our resident football tipster Tony Scott from the Liverpool Echo and Radio City is back for week three of the Premier League season with all things Merseyside plus his acca of the week and his nap for Spurs match with Newcastle United..

Everton to score over 1.5 goals Best Bet | 11/10 |
Everton have the chance to go top of the Premier League for the first time in 12 years as they face an Aston Villa side they haven’t met since March 2016. Roberto Martinez and Remi Garde were sat in the dugout that night with both clubs eventually going onto finishing in the bottom half of the table (Everton 11th, Aston Villa 20th).
This time around, Marco Silva’s side are the only team in all four divisions to have kept maximum clean sheets this season. However if the visitors do concede, the likelihood is it will come from a set piece.
Everton conceded the most goals from set pieces in the Premier League last season (16). Aston Villa were desperately unlucky not to get anything from last weeks defeat to Bournemouth with the home side totting up more shots, goal attempts, corners, passes and ball possession than the eventual winners. English leagues football’s most played fixture is back.

Over 3.5 goals Best Bet | 11/10 | |
Arsenal to have 4 or more shots on target | 6/5 |
Arsenal have started the season with maximum points from their first two matches for the first time since 2009/10 season. Arsenal’s matches last season featured an average of 3.2 goals per game – the league’s second highest so I see no reason why that should change with the addition of Pepe from Lille who is expected to start at Anfield on Saturday night.
Liverpool are unbeaten in 41 league matches at Anfield stretching back to 2016/17 season. One player who relishes this fixture is Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino who has scored six goals in the previous five head to heads. This match will feature all three golden boot winners from last seasons Premier League campaign.
BETS:
- Over 3.5 goals 11/10 with Paddy Power.
- Arsenal to have 4 or more shots on target 6/5 with Paddy Power.

Tony Scott’s Nap | ||
Spurs to take over 7.5 corners Best Bet | 11/10 |
Last weeks Nap of the Weekend (Over 40 Booking points – Wigan v Leeds) landed after just 20 minutes. Fingers crossed there’s a similar result this weekend but you’ll have to wait until Sunday for it.
Tottenham racked up 14 corners in their last home match (vs Aston Villa) and there’s every chance they can go into double figures once more against a Newcastle team that is low in confidence and quality.
BET:
Spurs to take over 7.5 corners 11/10 (BET 365) is my outstanding bet of the weekend.

Acca pays | @ 9 / 1 | BetVictor |
Throw Leeds United, Sunderland, Wycombe and Mansfield in your acca this weekend. It’s pays around 9/1 and should pay for the beers for your bank holiday weekend.
Good luck everyone.
